Welcome to Waterford Adventure Race 2015

2015 will see the sixth staging of an adventure race in Waterford County. The past 5 events have gone from strength to strength and offer a very well organised professional experience for all participants. The course selected tests the mettle of all competitors eager to put their stamp on the event but is also forgiving for the sporty participant out for a days challenge. The 2015 Event is set for Saturday 16th May 2015 and will incorporate a team relay race and a duathlon involving cycling and running.

Registration closes on Friday 15th May, 2015
Categories are as follows: Elite: €60, Sporty: €60, Duathlon: €40, Team Relay: €40 per person (Teams of 4)

Route is as follows: 9.00am:  Start: Leave Community Centre through Cappoquin to Glenshelane  > Run up through Glen to Melleray Grotto, onto road , left at Cats Bar  > Down through Cappoquin Estate, down Belmont Gates, back to Community Centre (11K).  > On return to Centre Cycle to VEE  > Via Glenribbon  > Up Vee  > At Vee, Elite climb sugarloaf mountain, Others run to lake  > All Cycle from Vee to Lismore  > Duathlon cycle over Lismore Bridge  > Up Ferrylane  > Left at Top  > Right at Convent School  > Out to Killahala  > Left for Kingstons  > Finish at rock.  > Elite: Sporty  > All except Duathlon cycle to Lismore service station,  > Cross road to river  > Kayak to Cappoquin  > Run back to Lismore  > Back on Bikes Up Ferrylane  > Left at Top  > Right at Convent School  > Out to Killahala  > Left for Kingstons  > Finish at rock.  > Relay Race:  > Run( Glenshelane) - 11K plus 5K  > Cycle: - 4K  > Run/Climb - 2K  > Kayak - 4K
